Which product is right for me?

In the Pokémon TCG hobby, there are many different collectors and products. If you're just starting to collect, it can sometimes be unclear which product to choose. Or you might already have a collection and be unsure which products to start with. We're here to help.

What is my budget?

The first question you should ask yourself is how much you're willing to spend on this hobby. Products range from tens of euros to hundreds of euros, each with its own unique characteristics. With a clear budget, you can focus your search on the products that appeal to you most or are best for collecting.

Sealed of Singles?

The Pokémon TCG hobby essentially has two major groups of collectors. One group loves collecting sealed products. Sealed products are, for example, boxes or other Pokémon products that are still unopened and sealed. Pokémon pays a lot of attention to the design of their boxes, and it shows.

The other collectors enjoy collecting cards the most. And you can't blame them, it's ultimately all about the cards in the boxes. You can collect cards from the past, where the challenge is to find a card that's still in very good quality. Or you can collect current cards, which are often available in good quality. You can also buy packs or boxes to open and collect that special card yourself—that's the ultimate feeling for these collectors!

Once you've clarified what kind of collector you want to be, finding the right product becomes much easier. Of course, every collector decides what they collect, and there are plenty of collectors who collect both. But if you're just starting out, it helps enormously to focus on one thing.
